Birdseye Barn Wedding in Winter

There is no need to juggle multiple locations when you can have your ceremony and reception hosted all in one location! Kelsey and Thomas enjoyed their Birdseye Barn Winter wedding in comfortable surroundings, knowing everything was being taken care of.

Birdseye Barn is Akron, Ohio's newest wedding venue. It is situated on a vast 92 acres of trees and farmland. The first thing that you will notice upon arriving is the sheer size of the building! It is probably at least four times the size of your typical barn.

Kelsey and Thomas exchanged their vows under the wedding arch, basked in the glow from the large windows that surrounded it. As a photographer, I really appreciated the controlled lighting that is installed in the barn, which took over the job after sunset. This meant that I could capture a great deal of candid moments without having to add supplemental lighting–a real plus for natural-looking photos!

Even though everything was indoors, the kids had plenty of activities to keep them busy. A cornhole game was set up for them, and some of the bridal party joined in. Why let chilly weather spoil the fun? We even went outside to capture some fun formals with the wedding party. Kelsey and Thomas took advantage of the swing to have their portrait taken on it. It made an excellent cover for their wedding album.

The food and bar service is top-notch. Lines move quickly, and wedding guests leave with a smile on their faces!

If you are the slightest bit leery of having a winter wedding, I am here to tell you that your Birdseye Barn wedding experience will be exquisite! I was fortunate to have been chosen to photograph not one but two weddings last December!
