Donauschwaben's German-American Cultural Center Wedding

If you have been thinking of having an outdoor wedding, this wedding might give you a few ideas! Because of the proximity to Olmsted Falls (and also for their superb service and amenities), Brittany and Josh decided to have their outdoor wedding at Donauschwaben's German-American Cultural Center.

Because of its rich cultural history, this facility stands out among Cleveland Ohio wedding venues. It's the perfect solution for multi-event weddings where your prep, ceremony, and reception can all be conveniently hosted in one place!

Before their ceremony, the bridal party headed down to the Charles A. Harding Memorial bridge in Olmsted Falls, a favorite among Cleveland wedding couples for its architecture and also the splendid scenery which surronds it. As a bonus, it's only steps away from the falls, where there are many more photo opportunities!

Everyone was in a super-jovial mood, so I took advantage of it by capturing all the fun and frivolity.

The ceremony featured a unity sand ceremony, a variation of the unity candle ceremony. It is an age-old symbolic tradition where two people take sand from their vessels and combine all of the grains into one, which represents the joining of two individuals and the creation of a new union and family. The joined vessel symbolizes the marriage of both partners' values and aspirations.

Being a stealth photographer who doesn't like calling attention to himself, I was able to navigate unnoticed behind the ceremony to capture some truly unique images that are typically unavailable to the guests. The sand vessels were bathed in a warm glow while Josh and Brittany exchanged their vows in gorgeous semi-silhouette.

The Donauschwaben's German-American Cultural Center's food and service are always fabulous. The guests enjoyed it immensely and the samurai cake-cutting was a big hit as well!
