To demonstrate how an artist captures photographs journalistically, I created the image of this bride simply by allowing her to feel the moment. I waited for a puff of breeze to lift her veil before clicking the shutter, which enhanced the ethereal mood of the story beautifully! The image of the groomsmen you see here was captured just as they walked into the venue from outdoors. My instincts told me that their silhouette against the sunlit countryside would be a powerful visual statement! I waited for just the right moment and— Voila!

Too often, I see staged poses of groomsmen. By taking my “fly-on-the-wall” approach, I captured this group of men as they casually strolled into the room! I instinctively knew that they would be partially silhouetted against the bright outdoors, making for a dramatic, storytelling image!
