I’m a wedding photographer and, I’ll admit, also a bit of a goofball....
I love to make my wife laugh, even when I know the jokes are dumb. I love romantic movies, especially ones with a mixture of comedy and pathos. Think “Moonstruck”, “When Harry met Sally”, “Sleepless in Seattle”, you get it.
I’m an introvert by nature and I think you will find that’s a huge plus in capturing those fly-on-the-wall moments at your wedding; I hear “we hardly knew you were there” a lot and I usually respond with “oh, that’s because I wasn’t, which always gets a chuckle (or a raised eyebrow--haha).
Having a background in fine art, one of the greatest compliments I get is that my photographs look like paintings. Indeed, my wife, Karen, and I have one framed and hanging over the sofa in our home. I also posted it here so you can see. It is of a raven-haired bride named Janine (who is herself an adventurous creative), whose portrait session my makeup artist, Leslie Kohn and I collaborated on. For this image, I’m very proud to have won “Best Bride Portrait” at the Mideast States Convention.
So that's my story in a nutshell, which is basically what I am.
what is it about me?
