Hillcrest Orchards Wedding of Kayte and Kurt

If you want the barn and farm experience in spring, summer, or fall, you will want to consider a Hillcrest Orchards Wedding!

Hillcrest is a 90-acre working farm that boasts an apple orchard, a historic 2300 sq. ft. barn, a bride's prep facility (adjacent to the barn), and two large pavilions that sit between an expansive brick patio area. My clients, Lauren and David, took advantage of all four when planning their wedding.

Lauren chose the charm of natural wood for her accouterments to fit her rustic wedding style.

Before the ceremony, I captured images of just the two of them near the pond and strolling unhurriedly through the tunnel of trees on their way to their nuptials. Their romantic mood flourished with the sweet smell of harvest and blue skies lined with feathery white.

Lauren and David had their first look in the privacy of the apple orchard, where I captured their emotional, romantic interlude, their romantic mood blossoming with the sweet smell of harvest. I continued catching moments as the couple strolled along the dock against feathery clouds lining the blue sky and lake. With the splendid scenery at Hillcrest Orchards, the photo opportunities are endless!

The ceremony took place in the ambiance of the apple tree orchard. Despite the hot weather, the guests seemed very comfortable, seated under the tree canopy shade. Emotions of joy filled the air as Lauren and David exchanged their vows. With all the greenery surrounding the wedding arbor, I could move about freely, capturing images of the guests and ceremony unnoticed.

The attentive staff filled glasses with robust vintage as the wedding guests chilled in Adirondack chairs on the patio as the late afternoon sun slowly melted into the horizon. This is the time of day where I get to capture friends and family interacting in a more relaxed, casual atmosphere.

There is something special about a rural wedding here that is difficult to describe. Maybe it's the soft light and sweet country air that flows freely through the barn doors and windows. Or perhaps it's the whole experience of a life celebration on a working farm during the fall harvest. I feel that all those wonderful little things combined with the laughter and happy tears of love work their magic, making a Hillcrest Orchard Wedding truly special!
