Having a Bethel Cleveland Wedding turned out to be the right move for Justin and Andreana’s event. Having a picturesque lake and trees in fall bloom right there on the grounds didn’t hurt either! It made it very easy for us to just step outside whenever we wanted to photograph.
There were plenty of opportunities for me to find meaningful items for image-making before the ceremony. Andreana had brought an heirloom heart-shaped piece that opened to a mirror that revealed, guess who? And the full-length dressing mirror always presents me with fun challenges to work with.
Justin showed his true love his gallantry during their first look outside of the church and then by serenading his new bride during the ceremony to the delight of the families and guests. It turned out to be quite a hit! Following the state’s Covid guidelines, the guests were socially distanced from one another throughout the ceremony, but that didn’t stop them from enjoying the show!
It turned out to be a gorgeous fall day, so I decided to photograph the families and bridal party outdoors by the lake. We were fortunate to have the soft light of evening for our session, which helped create more natural expressions on everyone. This is another advantage of having a Bethel Cleveland Wedding!
For the reception fun, the bride and groom took turns bashing a bag full of goodies untilt it exploded onto the floor. I didn’t even mind the wild swing that ended with the bat on my kneecap–lol! The best man “threatened” to serenade Justin and Andreana but then, like a real trooper, backed out.
Caro’s party center has a great outdoor vista, featuring a lake and awesome gazebo, which is great for outdoor ceremonies. My second photographer, Ed, photographed the couple on the steps with his trademark “loving embrace” image.
Andreana and Justin showed that a fun time can be had even during a raging pandemic. Unlike at other weddings that I’ve photographed this year, they took precautions with their guests and wore their masks when greeting them.
