It’s mid February and you are now actively engaged (pun intended–lol!) in searching for a wedding professionals. If you haven’t done so already, very soon you will be focusing your attention on hiring a wedding photographer.

But how will you know when you’ve found the right one? Because he or she takes nice pictures? Has a package you can afford?

Think about this. A person who you do not know all that well will be by your side throughout the most important day of your lives. He or she will not only be capturing your most precious moments, but will be interacting with all the people who are closest to you, directing and supervising your formals.

A great photographer will let you totally enjoy your day, but at the same time, work to keep everything reasonably controlled, so your magical day won’t morph into chaos.

That’s a tall order to fill. So how will you know if she is the right “fit” for your wedding? Will you feel comfortable working with her? Will he be quiet, patient and efficient or demanding and temperamental? Will she address your friends and family by name or just point at them?

The best way to find out about your wedding photography is to experience it firsthand.

You’ll soon be enjoying a complimentary dinner at a reception venue, tasting your cake and if you’re really doing your homework, spying on your potential dj or band at a real event. You’ll be giving them all a “test ride”.

So why not “test drive” a wedding photographer?
