Your Wedding at The Cleveland Yachting Club…

The moment she walked in the door, Elizabeth knew this was the place to have her wedding. She was looking for an open, inviting place with lots of ambiance, but was a bit concerned about price. After talking with Ann Swift, the Banquet Manager, her fears quickly melted away. She would have the wedding of her dreams, AND it would be budget-friendly!

Elizabeth also had a bit of stress about the details, but, thanks to Ann,  on the day of her wedding, everything came together perfectly. The guests enjoyed cocktails on the spacious lawn and strolled along the paths, lined with beautiful sunlit gardens. She had a game of cornhole set up for the more adventurous souls and it attracted participants and onlookers alike.   The Upstairs Room couldn’t have been lovelier. The warm afternoon sun peeked in softly through the diffused windows, wrapping soft light behind the bridal table and spilling it’s glow onto the lovely floral arrangements.

The cake was placed across the dance floor so that there would be plenty of room for the guests to watch the event. Thanks to the spacious room, I was able to place my lights and get the photographs I wanted, without having to elbow my way through the crowd.

The gift table had been set up so people entering would have the opportunity to drop off gifts. There was a black and white image inside an off-white matt of Elizabeth and Jake that everyone was invited to sign. It attracted quite an audience throughout the evening (including the mother of the bride).

As the evening progressed, the double doors were opened and the cool evening breeze beckoned people out onto the balcony. The lofty perch presented a thrilling panoramic view of the many docks lined with glimmering yachts. Their masts wrapped in sails of white canvas made a striking contrast with the amber sky.
